Douglas, Sean Connery and Robert Baker – Bahamas Jan 2007

In September 2007 I was given the opportunity to spend a week with Robert Baker, the developer of Logical Golf, in Munich. Robert is an incredible teacher with wonderful insights into the golf swing, and how to convey the teaching to his pupils. He has worked with 5 world number ones in his career and is based in Munich, Germany and Miami, Florida.
He taught me about what their goals were in terms of the golf swing and I analysed it from a biomechanical and activation point of veiw. My job became about how to enable the body to do what Logical Golf was teaching.
By the end of the week we decided to form an association as Logical Activation, bringing the Activation work to the world of golf.

Less than a month later I joined Robert and Logical Golf at the Dunhill Links at st Andrews. Here we brought our collaberation to both the pro’s and the celebrities at the event and had fantastic feedback. Here I had the pleasure to work with sporting greats like Steve Waugh, Marcus Allen and Ruud Gullit and well as many top golf Professionals on the European tour.
Back South Africa I trained the LogicalGolf instructors so they could take activation to their clients and they haved had great results and feedback.

In January Robert and I were together again – this time at the Michael Jordon Celebrity Invitational – a charity golf event held in the Bahamas. Here I had the chance to work with sporting greats like John McEnroe, Marcus Allen, Doc Julius Erving, Amahad Rashad, Chris Doleman and Dan Jansen, as well as celebrities like Angie Everhart, Maury Povich, Phil Gordon and Stone Phillips.
A call to Sean Connery, who lived on the island found him under the weather, and Robert arranged for me to work with him. We had 2 days with Sean and his lovely wife, Micheline, and Sean went from strength to strength, and rumour has it in late February he managed a hole in one!

LogicalGolf and Logical Activation have now put together 3 DVD’s – one purely on activation for golf, one on Power and one on Slice, and these will be available shortly.

Now in March I have just returned from a trip to the States where Robert and I again had the opportunity to work together and I am happy to report the more time I spend with Robert the more I learn and the more value we can add to you!
